Sam Roen is a screenwriter who writes primarily science fiction and fantasy, but also dabbles in romantic comedies. He’s currently pursuing a BFA in Creative Writing at Full Sail University and is an associate agent at The Plains Agency, a literary agency where he reviews and responds to queries, reads manuscripts, and makes recommendations to the owner of what to read with an eye to representation. His bagel-making skills aren’t too shabby.
His ultimate goal is to write for and ultimately become a show runner on something akin to what he loves and finds entertaining…think Chuck, Leverage, or Doctor Who. Also, he apparently somewhat resembles Jason Ralph as Quentin Coldwater from The Magicians, which may have scored him a beverage a time or two at social establishments in his new hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina. Originally from the midwest (Minneapolis and later, Hudson, Wisconsin), he fled the snow in 2016 and never looked back.
And he probably should’ve mentioned this from the get-go, but he doesn’t know where he physically is. It’s dark. And a wee bit damp. Please send help. Or liquor. Beer will do in a pinch.
